AC Milan failed with £40M bid for Barcelona's Ronaldinho

Roberto de Assis confirmed to Globoesporte that the offer was made - and rejected - and he also denied Italian press reports that he had a meeting scheduled this week with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.

"He is very happy in Barcelona and, if the day arrives that he thinks about leaving, it will be done in agreement with the club," said Assis.

"Ronaldinho's contract has been improved four times and there exists a great interest to extend it as his aim is to finish his career at the club."
