AC Milan face being trumped by Inter for Parma midfielder McDonald Mariga.
Milan chief Ariedo Braida made a check on the Kenya star last weekend against Cagliari and has recommended his signing to the board.
However, it's emerged that Inter director Marco Branca spoke with Parma in August about Mariga and is ready to follow up those talks ahead of the January market.
Branca has a close relationship with Parma president Tommaso Ghirardi which places Inter in the boxseat for Mariga's signing.
