AC Milan face being priced out of a deal for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
Milan have been following the Bosnia international for over 18 months.
But a representative for Dzeko told TMW: "Every day you read about 'bombshells' on the market, but for now it has stopped, also because the clubs have to see what they will do next year.
"They cannot plan their futures in February. They plan a little later. One thing has been noted, though. Milan like Dzeko as do many other teams, but the player's value has increased.
"Edin is now worth 40m."
