AC Milan expect to hear from Arsenal today over their request for permission to open talks with Emmanuel Adebayor.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed earlier this week they had formally approached the Gunners about beginning negotiations and Gazzetta dello Sport says they expect a response today.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has slapped a £35 million price-tag on Adebayor, which is well outside Milan's transfer budget.
