AC Milan encouraged by latest from Barcelona ace Ronaldinho

AC Milan are keeping tabs on Ronaldinho's deteriorating situation at Barcelona.

The Brazilian star has threatened to use FIFA Article 17 to quit Barcelona. Milan have been regularly linked with Ronaldinho, but have seen past advances rebuffed as the former PSG man was a pivotal figure at the club.

However, the Porto Alegre native has fallen out of favour and was only on the bench for the Champions League game against Lyon and last weekend's Espanyol derby day.

"My brother will leave if he isn't wanted, even if he has to leave for free," his agent and brother Roberto Assis warned.

FIFA Article 17 states that a player can unilaterally buy out his contract after three years of service if he pays a compensation sum to his club, based on his wages.
