AC Milan are out of the UEFA Cup after being stunned 2-2 at the San Siro last night by Werder Bremen.
Andrea Pirlo and Alexandre Pato had Milan 2-0 ahead by halftime before a stunning second-half brace from Claudio Pizarro shocked the home team.
Werder finished the stronger team, with Diego and Per Mertesacker both going close, but the result was enough for the Germans to dump Milan out of Europe on the away goals rule.
Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti had selected a full-strength team, including Paolo Maldini, whose final game in Europe has ended with elimination at the San Siro.
