AC Milan have dropped plans to bid for Sevilla striker Luis Fabiano.
"The negotiations for Luis Fabiano have reached a dead end," director Leonardo Cantamessa told Sky Sport Italia.
He also denied reports Milan were trying to get the player for just under £10m by talking to the Rio company that owns 65 per cent of his contract.
"Our talks have always been with Sevilla and only with that club, not the player. We have made our offer and, as they said no, it has been revoked.
"You need to ask [Vice-President Adriano] Galliani if there will be another offer, but at this moment I really don't think so."
