AC Milan defender Cristian Zapata hopes he's beyond his injury problems.

Zapata has been recovering from a foot injury suffered in January.

"I hope it's all over now," Zapata told Milan Channel.

"After the injury I had the flu. I'm happy to be back with the squad today to prepare for Saturday's match [against Palermo].

"Now I'm working to get back into top condition and to play at a high level. I'm 100 per cent ready to fight for a starting spot in the next game."
