AC Milan defender Thiago Silva admits a move to Real Madrid was blocked by her indoors.

The Brazilian was ready to sign for Real during the World Cup before performing an about-face.

Silva said: "It's true, I know. But my wife Isabel has always answered for me. She was the one to first say 'no' to Real.

"She definitely prefers Milan to Madrid."
