AC Milan defender Cristian Zaccardo insists he is prepared to leave this summer.

Zaccardo is being accused of picking up wages without putting in the effort.

"For years in silence I tried to do my job to the best of my abilities," wrote Zaccardo on his Twitter and Instagram today.

“I was never over the top, never against club or coaching decisions. I think football should be for all those people who put seriousness and passion in the play or in support.

“Unfortunately today I read for the umpteenth time that I refused various destinations. I stress, out of respect for the football fans, that such information is untrue, or at least unknown by me."
