AC Milan can still sell Robinho at the end of the season.
Robinho is currently on-loan with Santos and remains contracted to Milan until 2016.
Santos do have a purchase option in the transfer agreement, but would prefer to extend his loan another 12 months.
Meanwhile, Calciomercato.com says the Rossoneri also have a clause which allows them to sell Robinho this summer - without Santos' permission.
A return to Europe cannot be ruled out for the former Real Madrid and Manchester City midfielder.
