AC Milan confident winning battle for Wolfsburg striker Dzeko
AC Milan are confident of a deal for Wolfsburg striker Edin Dzeko.
Gazzetta dell Sport says Dzeko has already agreed personal terms over a £1.8 million-a-year contract with Milan after speaking with vice-president Adriano Galliani.
Galliani now intends to discuss a fee with Wolfsburg, whose defender Andrea Barzagli said: "Dzeko is as devastating as Toni."
New Milan coach Leonardo wants Dzeko to play with Ronaldinho and Pato in a three-man attack.
Dzeko said: "They [Milan] have always been my favourite club, right back to my days as a small boy, growing up in Sarajevo."
Meanwhile, Milan will use part of the £65 million raised from Kaka's sale to Real Madrid to land Sao Paulo midfielder Hernanes.
The Rossoneri hope to see off all competition for Hernanes, though will have to make a decision about finding a non-EU place in their squad for the Brazil international.

kaka left us oh well life goes on.. Dzeko easily the next sheva for milan hernanes can be great a attacking midfielder like fernandihno would do wonders for us !
i hope he signs 4 ARSENAL!
Pirlo is only 30 and needs to stay. I think Seedorf is more expendable simply because he's 33 and past his prime as an attacking midfielder. Losing Gourcouff was inexcusable -- and I wouldn't be surprised if Milan followed up that brilliant move with the sale of Paloschi (the next Inzaghi). Dzeko, Hernanes, and the addition of Santacroce/Mexes/Kjaer/Vidic would justify the sale of Kaka.
