AC Milan are confident closing a permanent deal for Valencia defender Adil Rami.

The deadline to take up the option to sign the Frenchman outright has passed, but L'Equipe says talks are continuing and there's confidence from Milan that a deal will be done.

If Milan cannot reach an agreement, the Rossoneri will turn to PSG defender Alex.
