AC Milan coach Leonardo convinced they let Real Madrid off hook
AC Milan coach Leonardo is convinced they let Real Madrid off the hook after last night's 1-1 Champions League draw.
Ronaldinho cancelled out Karim Benzema's opener for Real Madrid in the Champions League clash.
“Real tried a 4-4-2 almost with very attacking players out wide like Kaka and Marcelo. They played better in the first half, created spaces and chances. We were too deep,” Leonardo said.
“I'd say the second half was the opposite, as we had the better of it and overall the draw is the right result. To be honest, we feel a bit of regret, as I felt we could win it and strike them at the right time. I'm happy with the way the team played and approached the test.
“Consistency is key. Right now we have a balance and a self-belief that we can hurt our opponents. We're getting better at transforming that into goals, but the important thing is to maintain that consistent performance and confidence.”
Alexandre Pato did score a second goal, but it was controversially disallowed for either an offside position or handling offence - neither shown by the video evidence.
“I promised myself I wouldn't evaluate incidents after the game, but looking at the footage I don't see much wrong with it. Never mind,” shrugged the Coach.

Mehhh, if you call that a penalty, you know nothing about football.
Cephas, take it or leave it, Milan is winning nothing this season. Thank God Cristiano was not in both matches and even with that, Milan was outplayed.
Madrid is getting better and more to come, watch out all you Madrid haters!!!
its this simple, 4 points attained from a possible 6. argue all u want as if this was luck. take it into consideration that MARDID (not AcMilan) was trounced 4-0 (could have been 8)by Alcoron a third tier team made up of farmers n matadors. the 1/4 of a billion dollars spent in transfers has yet to show themselves.....
That penalty was a absolute penalty. Its not arguable. Pepe did tackle Zambo in a wrong side. Even though it was a soft penalty, its still a penalty. Pepe tackled him, and that's what is important. And stats prove nothing. A team can have 30% possession with only one shot on goal and can win 1-0. So suck it up Madrid fans, you people are too spoiled.
