AC Milan coach Rino Gattuso admits Tiemoue Bakayoko has surprised him in training this week.

The midfielder has joined Milan on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

Gattuso said: "Tiémoué likes to play in a midfield of two. I was surprised because we thought he was slower.

"I must say that I was also impressed by his dynamism. He is technically talented, so he will not only allow us to improve from a physical point of view."

Bakayoko's deal with Milan is a for a straight loan.
