AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has urged the Turin media to lay-off Juventus counterpart Claudio Ranieri.

Ancelotti said: "I tend to show my solidarity to all Coaches, as I know how difficult this job is. That goes double for Ranieri, because since he has been at the helm I think Juve have done very well, perhaps even beyond expectations.

"I think the media campaign mounted against him has been excessive, especially as Juventus suffered the same misfortune with injuries as we did this season."
