AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti wasn't overly impressed by yesterday's Trofeo Berlusconi victory over Juventus.

Pippo Inzaghi, after only a matter of days of full-scale training, struck twice for Milan in the 2-0 win and Ancelotti said: "We didn't do very well.

"We were not linear enough. I imagine it is mainly due to the strain of the pre-season training regime. It has nothing to do with the tactical system, having one or two strikers, as it is all a matter of pace right now."

Ancelotti had kind words for his old club Juventus.

"They are a quality side and very organised. They are still testing out their movements and can have a great season."
