AC Milan coach Ancelotti: I can handle sack talk

AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti insists he can handle the pressure of the job as doubts persist over his future with the Rossoneri.

"I am the Coach of an important club and know I must make the team competitive. I've been here for six years and every time the same issues come up," he said in a Press conference.

"I did not react, I just smiled, the same way I always have done. I remember the 2002 Champions League semi-final or the game against Bayern Munich when Marcello Lippi was supposedly standing at the door…"

Ancelotti said after the Bologna defeat that he felt "optimistic" about the season ahead and maintains that approach.

"This is a completely renovated Milan side. We need time to give the side a precise identity compared to what we saw in the friendlies. Tomorrow is an important opportunity to get back on track.

"This team will do well, but it has to do so immediately, even if we have very little time to prepare. The packed fixture list is coming up and attitude makes all the difference in official games."
