AC Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti has defended their decision to offload Pasquale Foggia a year ago.

The Cagliari star has since won a place in the Italy squad and is being courted by some of the biggest clubs at home and abroad.

"He is a player who prefers to move out wide, so in our tactical system he didn't find much space," explained Ancelotti.
