The Rossoneri were at the centre of an injury crisis going into the 2-1 victory over Siena, so Mattia De Sciglio had to play in the middle of a back four.
“Nothing in particular happened during the break, it’s just that at times with bad first half performances you can risk defeat, but we got back on track in the second,” said the Coach.
“The first game back from Christmas is always a little strange, but we got over a bad start, remained compact and won even without centre-backs.
“De Sciglio proved himself to be a lad with great quality. This is an important victory that takes us closer to the top teams.”
Bojan Krkic was a substitute and scored the opening goal at San Siro.
“Bojan has great technique and can change a game. If he plays like this all the time, then he cannot be marked and is world class.”
