AC Milan coach Allegri convinced they lost title hunger last season

AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri is looking for his players to recapture their hunger this season.

Allegri hints his squad had become complacent last term.

"We have to start scratch," the former Cagliari man said. "We want to make up for last season where we were super favourites, but you can take nothing for granted in football.

"We must have humility and the awareness within our means and try not to repeat the mistakes of the past. You sometimes miss that 'wickedness' when you are favourites to win."

Allegri, however, is well aware that there are a handful of sides who will be looking to lift the Scudetto.

"Juventus are Italian champions, Inter will want to win again and Napoli won't have the Champions League to deal with," he added. "It will be a difficult year."
