AC Milan are ready to take Michael Essien on-loan from Chelsea.
The Daily Mail says the impending return of Nemanja Matic to Chelsea from Benfica could see Essien leave Stamford Bridge on loan.
AC Milan are understood to be keen on a short term deal for the Ghanaian who would be available to play for them in the Champions League as he was not included on Chelsea's list by Jose Mourinho.
