AC Milan are closing on a deal for VfL Wolfsburg fullback Ricardo Rodriguez.

Gazzetta dello Sport says the Rossoneri are outright favourites to clinch a deal for the Switzerland international.

Milan chiefs Marco Fassone and Massimo Mirabelli have held talks with Rodriguez's agent Gianluca Di Domenico - with a deal already close to being struck.

Indeed, it's suggested today further negotiations will be held which could see personal terms finalised.

Rdoriguez's contract carries a €22.5 million buyout clause, though with the help of the player Milan hope to sign the Swiss for a lesser fee.
