AC Milan chief Gandini fires warning at Man Utd

AC Milan director Umberto Gandini has fired a warning at Champions League opponents Manchester United.

Milan seem to always step up a gear in Europe, no matter how much they're struggling domestically.

"There were teams in the draw that have done very well up until now. We are ready and happy to be here," Gandini explained.

"We are happy to have avoided meeting Ancelotti and Chelsea. We will play against a great team, the current runners-up.

"We are a formation that plays a great style of football and that has this type of challenge in its chromosomes.

"It reminds me of the 2007 semi-final, that perfect game between the two sides won by Milan at San Siro, which carried us to the Final in Athens.

"We are ready. We knew that we would have to face a great team. Beckham will be happy because he returns to Old Trafford as an opponent.

"It's a great challenge, truly fascinating."
