AC Milan chief Galliani: Without Pato, Nesta we had no chance at Man Utd
Submitted by tribalfootball.com on Thu, 03/11/2010 - 00:43
AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani says they were always going to be beaten by Manchester United when they lost Alexandre Pato to injury.
Milan were thrashed 4-0 last night in the second-leg of their Champions League tie.
“I knew it was going to go badly yesterday afternoon. We had taken Alexandre Pato, Alessandro Nesta and Luca Antonini in the squad, but all three of them pulled out with injuries on Tuesday,” he said of the 4-0 defeat at Old Trafford.
“Without such important players and taking on a Manchester United side of such quality, it was always going to be extremely difficult.
“I don't think it will affect our Serie A form. Leonardo already did very well in the locker room to reassure the players.”

Without good players, Milan will never win. What about the "great champions" like Favaldinho, Kaladze, Dida "out for 6 weeks because I got a splinter in my butt" Nelson, Slowdorf, 90 year old beckham, 100 year old Inzaghi, etc...
do u have another excuse to give...means if Pato, Antonini and Nesta were fit u would have gone thru...means these 3 are potent and the other 3 who were played for them were impotent...Good excuse..Hey i remember 1 thing at Sansiro all the 3 players u mentioned played but still u lost 3-2....now find other excuse because i m not dazzled by that..
