AC Milan chief Galliani welcomes Uruguayan double signing

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has explained their surprise swoop for Uruguayan pair Mathias Cardaccio and Tabare Viudez.

"In Europe there are impossible prices, so it's also fair to take a mix of players of the calibre of Ronaldinho and young talent like Cardacio and Viudez," said Galliani.

"The latter has had exceptional results from his visit to the Milan Lab. Both benefit from having an Italian passport. Thank you very much (agent) Daniel Fonseca, who has contributed to the success of this transfer."
