AC Milan vice-president Adrian Galliani is delighted with their swoop for Real Madrid goalkeeper Diego Lopez.
Galliani enjoys close ties with Real.
"I don't want to take the credit, but the ease of the rapport with Real Madrid, the friendship and many other things probably helped.
"We had watched Diego Lopez, asked Carlo Ancelotti about him, but above all William Vecchi, because he trained him in Madrid and nobody can know his qualities better.
"Vecchi is convinced he is a truly great goalkeeper. Today Daniele Tognaccini was enthusiastic at the medical and athletic tests performed by Diego Lopez."
