AC Milan GM Adriano Galliani has returned to Italy after spending the week in Spain speaking with Carlo Ancelotti.

Galliani has spent time in Madrid in talks with Ancelotti since his dismissal by Real Madrid.

"What's new? Well, nothing happened on the plane," Galliani laughed, when questioned about the situation.

"Carlo has said that it's 50-50, so hopefully that will become 100 per cent. We talked about a lot of things.

"He needs to have his surgery, then talk to the doctors. We'll only have an answer after the operation.

"If he doesn't come to Milan, he'll stop for a year, that's what Carlo said."
