AC Milan chief Galliani: Top players aren't bought, but developed at home

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has warned they will not pay over the odds for new signings.

Galliani is under enormous pressure to buy after Milan fans have seen their squad decimated since the end of last season.

"Like I said, the top players should not be bought, but created at home. From here to end the market we speak with our contacts with our offerings and our figures, but if they will not accept, then so be it. There are limits that can not be overcome," said Galliani.

"In defence we are having excellent results from Daniele Bonera and in general it seems to me that department is fine. In attack the failure to have a point of reference for opponents makes us dangerous and unpredictable, with goals from the likes Urby Emanuelson in midfield."
