Stoke City made a pitch for AC Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar on the weekend, it has been revealed.

TMW says an intermediary, who represents several smaller English clubs in Italy, held talks with Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani about Huntelaar's availability.

However, Galliani insisted during the meeting that Huntelaar was not for sale.

But the agent was informed that Milan would be willing to discuss Huntelaar with Stoke in June.
