AC Milan chief Galliani settles on Arsenal's Adebayor

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is planning a bid for Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Milan transfers chief Ariedo Braida has already held a round of talks with Adebayor's Italian agent, Vincenzo Morabito, about bringing the forward to Serie A.

Galliani is in the middle of a transfers row between president Silvio Berlusconi and coach Carlo Ancelotti. Berlusconi wants to bring Chelsea forward Andriy Shevchenko back to the San Siro, while Ancelotti would prefer to stick with young players Alexandre Pato and Alberto Paloschi.

Galliani is hopeful a deal for Adebayor will represent a good compromise for both men, says Tuttosport.
