AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani admits they need Inter to win the Champions League for sake of Serie A.

Serie A will lose their fourth and final Champions League place to the Bundesliga if Inter lose to Bayern Munich at the Bernabeu on May 22.

Galliani said: "I will support Inter. The Nerazzurri must win and whoever laughs at my comments doesn't use common sense, because if Inter lose the Final it would mean that from next year onwards third in Serie A would mean a place in the preliminaries of the Champions League and fourth would mean a place in the preliminaries of the Europa League.

"It would be damaging for Italian football. This is why I say that Inter must win and before a penalty shootout. Otherwise Germany overtakes us."
