AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has played down talk of a deal for Barcelona captain Carles Puyol.
Puyol has been linked with Milan this week.
"There is nothing with regards to Puyol, I can assure you of that," Galliani told Mundo Deportivo.
"Carles is a good friend of Milan, he likes our colours, but right now veteran players are not part of our plans.
"Although we recognise the great value of Puyol, we are thinking of youngsters. That is our philosophy for next season and our future in general.
"Anyway, as far as I know, Puyol has no intention of leaving Barcelona. The rest is just fantasy football "
