AC Milan chief Galliani opens door to sensational move for Juventus icon Del Piero

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani won't rule out a move for Juventus veteran Alessandro del Piero.

Juventus announced this week that Del Piero would leave the club at the end of this season, although he might not necessarily retire from football.

“We nearly signed Del Piero in 1993 and failing to do that remains one of the great regrets of my career,” confessed Vice-President Galliani to Sky Sport Italia.

“The fact remains that before he went to Juve, Milan were interested in the player.

“Is it never too late? I have learned to define players as talented or mediocre, not young or old. I always prefer a talent to a youngster.

“After all, many of our stars like Paolo Maldini and Billy Costacurta retired at 40. Pippo Inzaghi is 38 and still playing for us.”

Hes too classy to join Milan, wouldnt disrespect 19 years of service by going there.

Another old boy for Milan.

If talent is more important than age and speed .. WTF happened with Pirlo ?.. how come we traded talent for youth ? Letting Pirlo go was the dumbest move Milan ever made.

I dont want to see Alex come to Milan, because after one game, he would be warming the bench with Super Pippo, no different than what he was doing at Juve. Alex and Pippo should go international, to US or Russia where they may actually get to play regularly.
