AC Milan chief Galliani insists squad is good enough

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists there's no reason for panic after a poor start to the season.

Fans are disappointed with the departure of players like Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Antonio Cassano.

"Milan are competitive and it's not true that we are no longer ambitious," insisted Galliani ahead of tonight's game with Atalanta.

"We have invested a great deal of money in this squad and must try to do well while balancing the books.

"After all, this is what UEFA invoke too. Sooner or later all the clubs will have to adapt to this style of business. It's a modern Milan."
