AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani insists the board is agonising over whether to sell Kaka to Manchester City.
After protests from fans on Saturday night, Galliani said: "This club and this institution deserve respect and love from the fans.
"I do not know what will happen with Kaka, for my part, I slept badly last night. I have the same feelings as the supporters, but, being the CEO of Milan, I have to get things right.
"We'll see what happens. There is absolutely nothing signed, neither by us nor by the player, who is absolutely still a Milan player. But I am not able to make a forecast."
