AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has hinted at a move for Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.

Drogba is being linked with Milan as he stalls on penning a new deal with Chelsea.

Galliani declared: "Who will reinforce the attack? It is being said that someone will arrive in January, but Santa Claus is still far away…we will assess Cassano's condition as we have guaranteed him a starting role when fit.

"If he returns then we will not go into the market. We will evaluate what to do a little later. Maybe we'll just get one for the primavera side. [Nicolas] Anelka? If he continues to score, we'll see. He is an important player, but I was in love with Drogba when he played at Marseille."
