AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has poured cold water on claims of a deal for AS Roma defender Philippe Mexes.

Mexes was said to have struck a pre-contract with the Rossoneri.

But Galliani said: "No, there is no deal between Milan and the Roma defender.

"Milan don't want to disturb either the player or Roma who are a friendly club.

"If the player decides not to stay at Roma then Milan might be interested as might many other top clubs."
