AC Milan chief Galliani denies asking Maldini to come out of retirement

AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has denied sounding out Paolo Maldini about coming out of retirement.

It's been reported Galliani approached the former Milan captain a fortnight ago about pulling on the boots again for the remainder of the season.

"We have absolutely never spoken to Maldini. We have a beautiful relationship, so, I do not exclude anything, but everything I've read in these days, from him becoming coach, to technical or sports director, is really built on nothing.

"But I know the news media need things to survive."
