Corriere dello Sport says Ronaldo's latest injury setback suffered in Lisbon on Wednesday night was enough for Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani to get on the phone to Palermo supremo Maurizio Zamparini and make a £10 million bid for his star Brazilian.
Milan don't want to hang around and want a deal closed early with concerns growing over Ronaldo's long-term fitness. But Zamparini is unlikely to prove an easy negotiator and Galliani's opening bid falls well short of his valuation.
