AC Milan chief Galliani confident World Cup pressure will force Kaka to quit Real Madrid

AC Milan have not dropped their pursuit of Real Madrid attacker Kaka. Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has not given up on re-signing Kaka - and is convinced the 2014 World Cup can play a big role in his bid.

Kaka knows he needs high-profile regular football to earn a place in Mano Menezes' Brazil squad and if he can't get it at Real will need to move elsewhere to stand a chance of playing in his homeland's World Cup.

Real are willing to sell Kaka for €30 million in January, but his wages are out of reach for Milan.

However, come the turn of the year, Kaka may be in a situation where he must accept a hefty pay-cut and move to Milan to stand any chance of re-establishing himself in the Brazil setup.
