AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has assured supporters there is no need for more big name sales.
Milan are still recovering from their massive clearout over the summer.
Galliani said: "Our books are balanced and we don't need to sell now, in fact we are ready to make some investments.
"I hope it won't take long to become competitive again. We decided to focus on young players and some are doing very well, but the fans must have patience with us.
"The economy has forced this approach upon us and we hope to get back to the top by following this focus on youth."
