AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani insists there was never any danger of sacking Carlo Ancelotti after a difficult start to the season.
Galliani said: "We have never thought of replacing Ancelotti. Just in recent days with Carlo I said, if we had changed the coach, which we have never thought of doing, the new coach would not have achieved the same results we have done now.
"In four successive matches, including Zurich, the new coach would have had to win all four. Who knows what would have happened. Instead, with the same coach, with the same fitness trainer, with all the staff, evidently, after two defeats, came four wins."
