AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has admitted interest in Liverpool midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
Milan see the former AS Roma star as a likely replacement for Andrea Pirlo, who moved to Juventus earlier this summer.
Galliani told Gazzetta Dello Sport: "He's a midfielder who has the characteristics we're looking for so he could be of interest."
Liverpool are eager to get Aquilani off their books before the transfer deadline.
