AC Milan chief Braida to make check on Porto midfielder Fernando

AC Milan chief Ariedo Braida will be in Portugal tomorrow.

Braida will be making a check on Porto midfielder Fernando in Europa League action against CSKA Moscow.

The Serie A champions-elect are lining up Fernando as a replacement for veteran Andrea Pirlo, who will be allowed to leave in June.

Mark van Bommel, meanwhile, will be offered a new contract after impressing Milan management since his January arrival from Bayern Munich.
