AC Milan chief Braida confident landing Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa

AC Milan chief Ariedo Braida has confirmed their interest in Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa. There were reports yesterday that he had publicly rejected a move, but it later emerged the quotes came from a fake Twitter account.

"At the moment the Yanga-Mbiwa situation has slowed down a little, but we continue to be interested in the player," said Braida.

Montpellier President Louis Nicollin even referred to Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani as 'Kojak.'

"We weren't irritated, no. It's part of the game."
