AC Milan chief Barbara warns against getting carried away

AC Milan director Barbara Berlusconi has tempered the enthusiasm around the club after finishing in third place.

Barbara warned there were still Champions League qualifiers to navigate.

"I'm satisfied with moderation and prudence," the daughter of Milan President Silvio Berlusconi told ANSA.

"We have to remember that we still have to gain access to the group stages of the next Champions League through the preliminaries."

The Rossoneri left it late to secure the win they needed at Siena last night at the end of a season which began with five losses from their first eight games.

"I lost ten years of life...," she added. "I would not speak of a miracle though.

"We have always had, since last summer, clear ideas - an innovative development model, bold and forward-looking. The results came in the first year of this revolution.
