AC Milan chief Abbiati hints Reina deal: But Donnarumma is calm

AC Milan team manager Christian Abbiati denies tension over their move for Napoli goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Off contract in June, Reina is expected to join Milan in a Bosman transfer at the end of this season. The veteran keeper is understood to have undergone a medical at Milanello last week.

Reina's pending arrival has reportedly upset current No1 Gigio Donnarumma, who is convinced the Spaniard is being signed to replace older brother Antonio Donnarumma.

Abbiati, however, insists: "Can Reina be Donnarumma's replacement? Gigio will stay in Milan for many years. He's a talent of 19 years. That's my feeling.

"What is better than Milan? The arrival of Reina is for us a potential addition, an experienced player, who has had a good career. Gigio is calm."
