AC Milan are ready to go young and Italian to boost their fullback positions next season.

While Barcelona's Gianluca Zambrotta remains a big-money target, Controcampo says Milan are also chasing Lazio right-back Lorenzo De Silvestri and Fiorentina's left-back Manuel Pasqual.

De Silvestri, 20, has only just signed a new deal to 2010 at Lazio, while Pasqual is under pressure at Fiorentina as their sports director Pantaleo Corvino searches for a new left-back.

Milan also have held talks with the agents of Roma defender Matteo Ferrari this week.
