AC Milan are chasing Arsenal goalkeeper Vito Mannone.
The People says Mannone, 21, was snatched from Atalanta in 2005 before he had signed a professional deal, with the Gunners paying £350,000 compensation.
The Italian Under-21 international clocked up five Premiership appearances, and a further four in the Champions League, earlier this season.
But since then Mannone has grown increasingly frustrated at his lack of first team opportunities behind Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski.
